U Know & The Drill - You Got Me EP

If you were a fan of the Electrophants, this post is for you. Sadly they are no more, but from the ashes a fire shall be woken, the next project, "U Know And The Drill".  As you might expect, this duo hailing from The Netherlands has a seriously original and crunchy production style, and they're comin' at you with their first two track EP titled "You Got Me".  The title track of the EP starts us off with a nice house music groove, a track that's sure to get the whole room bumpin'. The second track called "Hoes And Discoes" has more of an Electro vibe to it, but has a similar bouncy feel.

If this release is any indication of what's to come from UKTD, we can expect big things in the future.

The EP is available from Basserk Records through Beatport, and you can follow UKTD on;

Butch Clancy - LIARZ

Butch Clancy is back with another free original!  This time he's changing up the game and coming at you with some Trap shit!  "Liarz" was uploaded about a week ago, but was just released today, for free download!  Butch has be a favorite of ours over here at ENVE, and for a good reason too.

But wait, there's more!  I have to admit we haven't kept you up to date on Butch.  Besides being right on point with his original productions, he is undoubtedly one of the best remixers in the game.  Check out his bass heavy Moombahton remix for Skrillex and Damian Marley's "Make It Bun Dem".

Charlie Darker - Atlantic/Pacific EP

 https://mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com/attachment/u/0/?ui=2&ik=00005375c2&view=att&th=13afc59b98bb7cf1&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw&saduie=AG9B_P95aBWMFyQC3B2mL5IniXEN&sadet=1353021098614&sads=zOl-lUBOi5BHHdO1xn03PafmQQw

Charlie Darker is undoubtedly one of this year's breakout electronic artists, receiving plenty of praise from the blog world and industry support from some of the biggest names in electro such as Zedd, Dada Life, and Porter Robinson to name a few.

"Atlantic" leads off the EP and is an anthemic banger featuring hypnotic builds, soaring synths, and a crunchy electro drop.

For the second track, Charlie Darker has colaborated with Canada's Love Thy Brother to bring you "Pacific".  This track is packed full of big room synths and nice chord progressions, keeping it melodic but powerful.

Atlantic / Pacific was released on Wolfgang Gartner's record label Kindergarten Recordings, and you can grab it now on Beatport.

Follow Charlie Darker on Twitter.

Lullabies – Yuna (Adventure Club Remix)

Adventure Club is back with another big remix, this time of the song "Lullabies" by Yuna.  This is the style of track that Adventure Club has become known for, starting with a nice indie track and once again turning it into one of their signature smooth dubstep tracks.  Yuna's enchanting vocals lend themselves perfectly to Adventure club's chill dubstep sounds, making this track a definite ear pleaser.  And as always from Adventure Club, it's a free download.  Enjoy!

Revolvr and Lea Luna - Machine EP

Revolvr has paired up with Lea Luna to bring you a massive three song EP, "Machine"!  By now you ENVE fans should be no stranger to Revolvr, but I have to admit this is the first I've heard from Lea Luna.  I've had a chance to listen to the EP, and what I can tell you is that Lea Luna's fantastic vocals on these tracks are a great compliment to Revolvr's already amazing Electro and Dubstep sounds.

***
I'm adding this review below because it's bad ass and way more on point than anything I could write, so I feel like it deserves to be read.
***
"Following a string of successful releases, Revolvr and Lea Luna return but together this time with a powerful collaboration – “Machine” - a three song EP to be released by Dim Mak Records.

Leading as the first track on this three-song collection, Machine, journeys from progressive melodies and Lea Luna's ethereal vocals to a monstrous drop that will have hands in the air when the song makes a detour into bass heavy Electro.

For Dubstep devotees, By Your Side, has their fix. Ever want to know what dancing with the devil might be like? This might be your answer, complete with complex plucked strings, hypnotic vocals, massive drops, and array of explosive basslines and synths.

Finally, the EP wraps with Dirty Secret - a four on the floor jackin electro house piece brimming with provocative and erotic lyrics and exuberant bass stabs & funky wobbles, giving listeners a blend of dirty beats and sexy playfulness. "

Machine EP Teaser on YouTube:

Machine is being released on November 27th on Dim Mak, so make sure to grab your copy then.  Stay tuned for more on Revolvr and Lea Luna as this story develops!

The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive (K Theory & TYR Remix)

K Theory is a pair that should be no stranger to you electronic and bass music fans.  Here is their latest remix with up and coming producer TYR, of The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive.  Just like the original, it's still an amazing disco track, just fixed up with a broken beat and some nice glitch hop.

---BONUS---

K Theory dropped this Trap track on their SOUNDCLOUD a week ago.

gLAdiator : Traptober Mix!

Here's the latest mix from one of my favorite DJ / Producer duos, gLAdiator!  I got hooked on their earlier Moombahton and Dubstep releases, but their monthly mixes have been packed full of trapped out goodness.  This is no exception!

Rogue - Air (Summer Chords)

Rising UK Dubstep/Electronic music producer, Rogue, is enjoying in massive success from the tracks he releases on Youtube. “Air (Summer Chords)” is a great summer track he released a couple of months back. This track is a good introduction to who Rogue is.

Dillon Francis - Masta Blasta (THE REBIRTH)

Riding on the wave of ‘trap’ this season, our good buddy Dillon Francis has taken his moombah anthem Masta Blasta and sent it straight into the HOOD. Making this Remix or Rebirth if you will, a complete success. Also the summer has been a pretty rough posting time for the people here at ENVE but the post shall be flowing more frequently soon enough. But for now. . .look at the weather. C'Mon?

Steve Aoki feat Lil John & Chiddy Bang - Emergency (Clockwork Remix)

When I first heard it I was hooked right away. I never understood how someone can get rich off 3 words but Lil Jon achieved that goal and he fits the track pretty good. I’m a big Chiddy Bang fan and I think he is the best part of this track. The mix is well done and is definitely joining my summer playlist.

Wiz Khalifa - Work Hard Play Hard (Mighty Mi & Slugworth Remix)

So I’m not really sure who Mighty Mi & Slugworth are, and I couldn’t find a Facebook page for either of them, but I am really glad that I found this awesome track on Mighty Mi’s SoundCloud. With high energy electro vibes and some tough vocals, this is an asbolute banger.

Wolfgang Gartner - Flexx

It's been a while since we've heard the latest Wolfgang Gartner track and to delight of his old fans Wolfgang has decided to come out with a heavy electro sounding track that is sure to blow you away. It seems Wolfgang had a couple of things to say about this new track and how it's more aligned to his old, heavier electro side.

Micheal Jackson - Bad (Afrojack Remix)

Michael Jackson‘s Bad turns 25 this year in style, as the 1987 smash success is getting the anniversary treatment with a ginormous re-issue package that includes the original album, a DVD of his 1988 Wembley Stadium concert, and more goodies than you could ever ask for.

To help promote the September 17 release of Bad 25, a handful of today’s most in-demand DJs were given the opportunity to remix many of MJ’s biggest hits. Today comes Afrojack‘s take on the title track of the 25-year-old album, adding a ravey intro before the iconic guitar hook and pretty much tweaking the edgy pop tune into an EDM dream.

Boy Kid Cloud - A Better Version of Me

Today Boy Kid Cloud dropped his new EP, titled A better version of me. We have always been fans of BKC's more vocal style of dubstep and this EP doesn't disappoint. There are four tracks, three of them around mid-tempo and one at 70bpm, and they flow into one another very nicely. Buy the EP on BEATPORT. Or just grab a free download of "89" HERE.

Mercy (Figure Remix)

FIGURE adds his own touch to an original he has already been playing in his sets. There's something about his style that never gets old. Turn your volume up.

Rudimental - Feel The Love (Jordy Dazz Bootleg)

Following the release of “OMG,” Jordy Dazz is giving away a free bootleg to stay further relevant in the month of June. His fresh progression and hard hitting bass resurfaces on his bootleg of Rudimental’s “Feel The Love,” which slows down and speeds up several times for listeners to relive the drop. The loud house and soulful vocal segments contrast for a track that will keep your interest over and over. Head over to Jordy Dazz’s Facebook page to claim the bootleg for yourself.

Felix Cartal - Black to White (Loops Of Fury Remix)

2 New Avicii Tunes

Just stumbled upon two Avicii tracks which I was not familiar with. The first features the seductive vocals of my boy, Lenny Kravitz. . .I know right? It's actually a really catchy tune, packed full of uplifting melodies and some intriguing percusion. The other song is called "Two Million". It's another Avicii classic, very similar to his other tracks but who doesn't like a little variety.

Rise & Fall - Adventure Club ft Krewella

Two short days after the release of "Wait", Adventure Club is back with another original production, only this time featuring the always amazing Krewella. Their styles mesh so well together it makes me wonder why the two groups weren't working together sooner. Oh and it's a free download!

A-Trak & Dillon Francis - Money Makin'

A-Trak and Dillon Francis have paired up to bring us this quirky single titled "Money Makin'". It features the vocal capabilities of Greg Nice over the catchy synth melodies of the soon to be summer anthem. I've also included the music video which was released a few days ago.

Revolvr brings us an entirely new experience with his remix of Fun's "We Are Young", this time with a big BIG room house approach. M83 - Reunion (Mylo Remix)

\"The infectious groovy, funky, and always fresh material has some of the longest shelf-life I’ve ever experienced up there with the likes of Daft Punk & The Chemical Brothers.  I’ve been itching to post this track for so long, as It’s been my favorite of the new year, but under strict order from Sir Mylo himself it was only to be used in my Gooch Tape #4, until NOW!  His remix is part of the M83 – Reunion Remix Package, and this is quite the match made in heaven.  Now lets hope Mylo and M83 have a “reunion” of their own and continue to make beats together!" It's Skate Date Season

Chris Rigets behind the lense [o]

Team Rider Justin Taron was out an about yesterday, skating an abandoned mini golf course in Coombs. He threw down a banger wall ride to fakie. Although I don't think Bruce was very happy about it.

Deadmau5 - Veldt (Paul David Remix)

Paul David, founder of Burner Records, has just released this free bootleg of Deadmau5's progressive jam "Veldt". I'm not sure if this will be part of Deadmau5's new album being released on June 25th, but it definitely should be! Here's a little write up about the new album.

"Mau5trap/Parlophone will release deadmau5's 'The Veldt' EP' on 25th June 2012. The electronic dance music titan is an artist that is constantly looking for innovative ways to push his craft forward. With this release he's set another yardstick of what it is to be an artist in this socially networked age.

The mau5 recently overhauled his studio in his home town of Toronto. Since the end of his gruelling North American tour he's locked himself in and gone on a creative spree. Ever committed to his fan base, he has invested in a high tech setup so that he can Live Stream his writing / recording sessions and give fans a window into that process."

Monday, May 7

Project 46 - The Rift

Project 46 have rapidly been taking the EDM world by storm. Their releases always top the Hypem and Beatport charts, with the latest Beatport release, “Reasons,” even reaching #1. Part of this success can be attributed to a strong relationship with fans. The Canadian producers release free music and mashups regularly, usually only asking for 100 Facebook ‘likes’ in return. “The Rift” is their latest gift to fans. The tune is a progressive anthem in a similar style as Deadmau5. Can anyone say "Summer Anthem".

Saturday, May 5

Revolvr vs. Pagoda - Pulse (A Live Visual Experience)

Revolvr & Pogoda have come together, spending 60+ hours in the studio to create a live audio/visual experience that has never been seen or done before on any social video platform. This entire journey was performed LIVE by Pogoda.

Kastle - Technique (FREE DL)

This tune is a few months old but I just discovered it today. A really funky bassline is the power behind this tune. Paired with some samples from Kelis' "Milkshake", but you would never know, makes this track really catchy. At 2:30 we are given a 'rolling' halftime drop which gives this track everything it needs. I also included a recent mix by Kastle.

KASTLE

SKisM - Rave Review (Dodge & Fuski Rmx) (FREE DOWNLOAD)

From the guys who brought you 'Pornstep', Dodge & Fuski have been in the studio remixing an already epic Skism track and they managed to transform it into a banger you'll be playing on repeat. If you recognize the voice in the song, it's an actor named Henry Rollins. He plays one of the neo-nazis in Sons of Anarchy and also happens to do some stand-up. So what did come first? The shitty rave music, or the drugs?

Friday, April 27

Miike Snow - Devil's Work (Dirty South Remix)

Here is a perfect collaboration between the enchanting Miike Snow and the house music masters, Dirty South. This remix of "Devil's Work" is packed full of perfect piano riffs and those big room synths that are just right for summer.

Maroon 5 feat. Wiz Khalifa - Payphone (Sex Ray Vision Remix)

After some huge support on his last album "Relax", Ravi aka Sex Ray Vision is back with another killer song. This time he has taken Maroon 5's new track with Wiz and put a chilled out house sound on it. Something good for the ladies.

The M Machine - Metropolis Pt. 1

"Wow! This is The M Machine’s second great release in row off of OWSLA. I really enjoy the strength of the Indie on this release. Most of the tracks are Indie Dance and Electro-House/Indie, with of course the one Drum & Bass gem they seemed to have snuck on. ‘Immigrants’ is quite the track to kick off ‘Metropolis,’ it even has that vibe as if you are going through a city. I would love to see some visuals done up for this track because it is just an awesome banger. Another hot and heavy track is ‘Black,’ you could rip up a dance floor with this track.
‘Deep Search’ is a pretty cool Indie Dance track, I like how just seconds into the track it busts into the beat. ‘Faces’ and ‘A King Alone’ swing much closer to the Indie side, but are incredible tracks to chill out to. The last track on ‘Metropolis’ I believe to be a follow up on their previously released, ‘Promise Me A Rose Garden.’ Instead of dubstep though, ‘Shadow in the Rose Garden’ is an incredible Drum & Bass jam. I just wish it was longer than 3 minutes. ‘Metropolis’ as a whole is a great listen, work of art from The M Machine." Fresh New Tracks

Sub Focus - Out The Blue (Xilent Remix)

This head banging mixture of face melting basslines and beautiful synth work from Sub Focus & Xilent is the latest addition to the UKF video list. Don't forget the vocal perfection from Alice Gold. With a solid intro, cut up drop and dynamic chorus, this is the kind of track you would expect to hear from Kill The Noise. You could almost say that there is a definite influence in the track from Kill The Noise and Knife Party, not to mention Skrillex. But then again, whose music isn’t influenced by the Sonny.

Seven Lions - Polarize EP

"Seven Lions is the newest Viper Recordings artist set to be unleashed upon the world. With his debut 'Polarize EP' forthcoming on Viper, the California-based producer is set to become a household name over the next couple of months.

A man of very few words, Seven Lions, née Jeff Montalvo, chooses to let his basslines do the talking for themselves. A brand-new producer coming in blazing hot thanks to an official endorsement from super-group Above & Beyond (currently number 5 on the world’s Top 100 DJs), Seven Lions embarked on his first-ever tour supporting his fellow young dub-superstars Gemini, Koan Sound, and Bassex.

“I won the official remix competition, which is how I got involved with Above & Beyond. I don’t know if they were expecting the track to do as well as it did. But it definitely got their attention, and now they’re wanting to work with me more."

What can fans expect from the upcoming EP? “Lots of dubstep, some melodic dubstep, breakbeats — Shaz Sparks is doing some vocals over it. An innovative, fresh-thinking producer who isn’t afraid to bridge the gap between trance and dubstep, Seven Lions is the future sound about to take the world by storm." Viper Recordings

Skullee - Stand Up (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Ever since the release of Skullee's "Tribute To Sonny" and Russ 2012 I have been hooked on this kid. Hailing from Norway, this kid has some crazy European style combined with that harsh American sound that has become so popular. This song contains some catchy trumpets, heavy bass and most of all some crazy wobbles mixed with the video game style synths (Somewhat like Zelda). At about 2:20 he doubles up the percussion to give it a Salsa/Africana vibe. Makes me want to start a random dance party. Enjoy.

Labrat - Break Your Neck

Santa Cruz's own LabRat has been killing it as of late. He isn't one of those producers who pumps out 10 songs a month. It seems like he really takes his time producing and making sure all those Basslines and Synths are up to his standards. Always a pleasure to post his music. Enjoy.

Monday, April 23

Skullee - Russ 2012 (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Been so stoked on Skullee lately... The kid never disappoints and Russ 2012 is no exception. Keep your eyes peeled for more from Skullee this year. We expect big things.

If you missed his tribute to Skrillex track we posted 2 weeks ago then you need to check it out here.

Flosstradamus - Hood Fantasy (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Last song of the day! I just had to share this track with all you Envious People. Flosstradamus released this Ludacris Bootleg earlier on in the month but I just recently stumbled upon it.  This is "TRAP" music at it's best people. Be sure to check out more of Flosstradamus's music on Soundcloud.

Kairo Kingdom - Boom Box / One Two

Just discovered Kairo Kingdom from the Beatport's Glitch Hop charts and their most recent double feature EP "Boom Box / One Two" contains two songs which are just insane. Firstly we have "Boom Box" which is some heavy fucking production! The intro to the song resemples a heavy metal track with it's quick double kicks and grinding guitars. The drop just explodes into that Heavy Electro synth work and popping, which Skrillex is so popular for. This song being played at 110bpm makes it a little more toned down then most electro, also perfect for the end of that next Moombah mix. The B Side, also another Glitch Hop track, is called "One Two" and it is number one on the Glitch Hop charts. This song is a little more funky then its counter-part. But the drop still shows that heavy Electro sound. I am very pleased witht his EP. Go and pick this up off Beatport and show Kairo kingdom some love by liking their Facebook. (Links Below)

Kairo Kingdom

Mark Knight - Alright

Mark Knight is back with a chilled out production called "Alright" and is it ever more than alright. This song has some super catchy percussion and synths somewhat mimikicking those in "Show Me The Love", released by Robin S. in 2008. The added Saxophone and sublte vocals are the cherry on top. This explain why it has been in Beatport's Top 10 for two weeks running.

Mark Knight
