Another Far From Silent, a little late with the post but we were busy enjoying the hardcore sounds of Caspa & Figure last night. But here it is, Eh StaTuZ has blessed us today with a heavy remix by Electrixxx, an original from Candyland and a new banger' from Revolvr who will be playing at spice lounge tomorrow night!
In the words of Skrillex himself "Happy Holidays, just
like I promised.... just like i always say, go pirate it if you don't have
money..i just want you to have it..either way I'll
love you". So here is the full-length seven track EP for all of you to enjoy over the Holidays. Including a HQ version of Skrillex's collaboration with the three remaining members of The Doors, a never before heard song with Ellie Goulding, a heavy hitter with 12th Planet & Kill The Noise and two unforgettable songs featuring Sirah. Enjoy.

"Coral & Algea Sessions 4" is the fourth super packed electro mix from The Clamps. I had Session 3 stuck on repeat back in september. Packed with a few songs from Umek, who always has some interesting sound. Other than that a lot of the artist are new to my ear, nothing bad about some new sounds. Make sure you download this mix and check out The Clamps on Facebookand Soundcloud for more of their music.
Steve Aoki’s first
artist album, Wonderland, is set to drop January 17. Its second single “Ladi
Dadi” is getting us even more excited to hear it in full. Featuring the
beautiful talent of Wynter Gordon this song is just perfect.
Figure is coming to my neck of the woods on December 29th. So you can imagine how excited I am for these two superb track. The first track is an original called "Must Destroy". All I can say about this is it's filthy, just filthy. The next release is a remix of Diplo & Datsik's "Pick Your Poison". He hits the track hard with some screaming synths.
Figure releases about 80% of his music for free, so if you have a few bucks on your Credit Card please go support this amazing artist and purchase these tracks.
Clouds first ignited my ears with their remix of Dem Slacker's "Swagger". This remix had one of the strongest, deepest basslines I've ever heard. Now after a long stretch in the studios these mysterious Scottish producers are releasing a five track EP with Twin Turbo Records Three originals and remixes from Ado and Ego Troopers.
"Clouds continue their untouchable run of untouchable bombs
with Matter, earning huge support from the likes of Tiga and Erol Alkan, as
well as the likes of others.
This digital-only Twin Turbo release further showcases the
balls-to-the-floor insanity of their previous work, and paves the way for their
forthcoming EP on Turbo proper, which highlights the more mature side of the
post-schoolboy Scotsmen. To commit these particular bangers to vinyl, though,
would be like trying to capture a hurricane in a diaper – heroic but ultimately
pointless.
The release features a killer remix by Ado, which only makes us more curious about
how his name is pronounced. This remix pioneers a trail we’ll be blazing in
2012: Nu-Goa. We’ve also included a remix from Ego Troopers, an outfit made up
of two underage Belgian boys, one of whom is Steph “Half of Soulwax” DeWaele’s
godson.
Twin Turbo – over 100 days of bringing you the most foolproof,
fool-tested battle MP3s, fit for only the hardest of drives."
A few days ago we received an email from a young group hailing from San Diego, Kicks N Licks. Having never heard of them before we were excited to hear their new EP "Way Too Loud". Here's a little bit about them:
Kicks and Licks is a young Californian duo working hard to make a name for themselves in the world of Dub. Paying their dues in San Diego, the group is ending the year on a high note: opening for Nero and releasing their debut album nearly in tandem at the end of this month. The ‘Way Too Loud’ EP makes a solid statement for the group’s ambition, displaying their talents over a range of flavors. The EP as a whole is solid, but ‘Monsters’ really hits home for me with melancholy vocals and strings over some filthy, but melodic basslines. As the boys stay diligent in the studio, I expect big things from them in 2012. keep an eye out for EP when it drops on Funky Elements the 19th, and check out their websitefor updates and freebies.
We are extremely excited to let you listen to them here first. This shit is heavy!

New one coming from Milk N Cookies sometime around Christmas. They have used a voice clip from an "Everest College Commercial" Parody. Not really the first thing you would think to use in your productions but it sounds like it's gonna work very well. Check out this little teaser to get a feel for the song.
Rudimental, the collective of 4 producers/DJs from East
London behind club anthems 'Deep In The Valley' and 'Speeding' on Black Butter
Records, return to round off a stellar year with a newly honed sound showcased
by their official remix of 'Lego House' by one of 2011's most important acts,
Ed Sheeran.
DEM SLACKERS! One of my favorite Producer/DJ for about 2 years now. Don't ask me why, just something about his style just gets my head rockin'. So every time he releases something new I get real excited! Slackers has worked with the promotional company "We Own" in the past, releasing mixtapes in the past. Including the "Summer Mixtape" that we posted a while back. So get stoked for this.

Oooooo Baby. Dave Nelson aka Emotionz just blessed us with some ear candy kids. "I Love Music" is from the Sounds of Summer EP and you really get that summertime vibe right off the bat. This song is dedicated to all the fallen soldiers of the music game. #RestInPower
Yes, you read the title correctly. We are flying the Las Vegas electro superstar, REVOLVR, up for New Years and since he is from the City of Sins, what better way to welcome him then to have a "Casino Royale" themed event! This is going to be a massive NYE experience with a huge sound system, lighting & visuals and full on Vegas decorations! Opening up for REVOLVR will be none other then our boy RAINMAN. He is back for the holidays to deliver us some filthy beats. So make sure you check out the event page (Link Below) and get yourself a ticket.
Thank you Zomboy, he packed such a strong bassline into DJ Fresh's summer time jam. A little wobble here and a wobble there goes perfectly with the catchy piano riff of "Hot Right Now". I'm really excited to see what's in store for this kid. Also, when the hell will I get to see him live!!!
This week 'Far From Silent' as always, has some pretty sick beats for us today. About a week ago I announced the release of Knife Party's first album "100% No Modern Talking". Included in today's selection from Eh-StaTuZ is the first track off the new album titled "Fire Hive". The song really made me think of some early Skrillex, perhaps "Kill Everybody. If your a fan of "Fire Hive" I'll be posting the WHOLE new EP later today. As I always say, Xilent has been one of my favorite producers of 2011. Always puts that little extra something into his productions and he has such original sounds. Lastly Chrizz Luvly and Rocket Pimp pair up to tackle Porter Robinson's and Lazy Rich's "Hello". They succeed in putting a bangin remix together.

Last night Snowboard Mag was lucky enough to get an
exclusive first look at Bear Mountain’s new RedBullPlaza. And no we didn’t just look at it,
be we got to watch the likes of Forest Bailey, Chris Bradshaw, Lucas Magoon,
Daniel Brown, Will Bateman, Pat Lynch, Brett Wilkinson, and Big Mike take full
advantage of this urban style setup under a full moon the night before it
opened to the public. Let’s just say you are going to want to check this thing
out for yourself.
Dutch duo Beat The Bastardz first got our attention when they released their debut EP Lumberjack
BUY HERE . Soon after that the Dutch duo made an exclusive mixtape (Check It Out) for ENVE with some fresh electro/techno tracks. Now by the end of 2011 the duo
DJep Bastard and Relfy Beats both share their top ten favorite tracks of last
year in this exclusive interview.
First up we have DJep Bastard's Top 10 Tracks:
Mustard Pimp – ZHM (Dada Life Remix)
“Clearly my favorite
track of 2011. This remix has it all: energy, the perfect drop and an
irresistible melody. This track is the ultimate party bomb!”
The Loops Of Fury – I Need
“2011 was
also the year of The Loops Of Fury. They just did a remix for Moby, which is quite
a big deal. They got my attention, when I heard I Need in one of the 2 Many
DJ’s sets. Since then we have the track almost standard in our sets at the
beginning after the intro. Why? Because the build up is huge and when it drops
it grabs everyone’s attention. And the motorcycle synth is badass!”
Mightyfools – World Tour (Original Mix)
“We played over ten
times with these two boys in the Netherlands, and honestly they are
one of the nicest deejays we’ve met ‘on-the-road’. Their last three tracks
(World Tour, Basso Grasso (Mightyfools Remix) and Thunderbad) are their best
productions so far in my opinion. World Tour really does is for me. Perfect
tune, a lot of soundlayers and a great combination between progressive and
electro.”
Siriusmo
– Einmal In Die Wochen Schreien
“A lot of
people say that dance music is music without emotion: and than there was the shy
German producer Siriusmo. With his great diverse album Mosaic, he made one of the
best dance albums of 2011. Single Einmal In Die Wochen Schreien wasn’t only a
hit in the Netherlands,
but also a great (sensitive) track.”
Major Lazer feat. The Partysquad – Original Don
“Love it ot
hate it. My DJ partner Relfy Beats absolutely hates this song. Yes, it’s quite
over the top, but also a song that combines hardstyle with moombahton, electro
and dubstep in three minutes. I think it’s quite amazing.”
The Bloody Beetroots feat. Dennis Lyxzen – Church Of Noise
“And than our
Italian heroes of The Bloody Beetroots where back with Church Of Noise.
It brings nothing new to the table, but who cares if it sounds so good? Well
actually it brings something new to the table: the guest vocal of Dennis
Lyxzen, which was one of my favourite hardcore singers from the great
Scandinavian band Refused, who made the legendary album The Shape Of Punk To
Come and than, when there breakthrough was very near, instantly decided to
quit.”
Electrophants – Sledgehammer (Original
Mix)
“Support
your locals! Not only a big release, but also a big label: Boemklatsch Records.
They deserve it. Their productions are always high quality stuff and they are
nice fellas, hailing from the same hometown as we come from: Tilburg. Recently they gave their first
international gig in Faro, Portugal. Gonna hear a lot more from
these boys soon!”
“At the
beginning of November we released our first EP Lumberjack. We we’re very happy
with Le Boeuf’s contribution to the EP. He has quite a lot of success with the
hiphop/dubstep act Boef en de Gelogeerde Aap at the moment. They played at all
the big venues and festivals in The Netherlands. His remix created some great
buzz over here. It was featured on 22 Tracks and 3VOOR12. Two big music mediasites
in The Netherlands. I really love where he took our remix. The dark atmosphere
and the combination of dubstep and experimental sounds made it a high quality
not-standard dubstep track.” Steve Aoki & Laidback Luke feat Lil
John – Turbulence (Original Mix)
“Ok, it’s
commercial in capital C, but damn this track is huge, It has the perfect build up:
you feel the tension rising, great drop and than the crowd goes wild!”
Mumbai Science – Lotus (Original Mix)
“Damn these
two Belgium
boys turned the tables around! Starting of with mainly tropical (electro)
beats, they radically changed there sound to techno, with a huge Chemical
Brothers influence, but hey, who cares? I mean it works big time! Great track,
lot of energy in it as well!”
Secondly we have the Top 10 from Relfy Beats:
Benny Benassi - Cinema (Skrillex Remix)
“For me this
is the most memorable track of the year. We played it so many times at the end
of our set and everytime Skrillex did the job and broke everything what was
left down to the ground.”
Spencer & Hill - Less Go (Porter Robinson
Remix)
“What a
blast! This one we played so often that DJep Bastard can't hear it anymore haha.
I still love it, The building, the BANG! LESS GOOO!”
Wolfgang Gartner - Menage A Trois (Original
Mix)
“In my
opinion, one of the best electro producers of the moment. With his new album,
Weekend In America, he showed us once again how it's done.”
Porter Robinson - Unison (Knife Party Remix)
“This track
is in my eyes the "Cinema" of late 2011. We almost always use it to
break it down in the final minutes of our set.”
Calverton & Qalvr - Raw 2 Da Floor (Lazy
Rich Remix)
“What an
epic track this has been for Beat The Bastardz in 2011, it always shows up in
our set. We combine it with the original and love it!”
Deadmau5 - Lost In Space (Feed Me Remix)
“Talking
about building up and breaking it down beautifully in Feed Me style, love it!”
Mustard Pimp - ZHM (Dada Life Remix)
“Dada
Life.. What should I say about them.. They are just so great.. I don't think
this is their best track but it's a 2011 chart and they just have to be in
here.”
The S. - Death & Rainbows (Original Mix)
“The piano
is so beautiful and pure on one side and on the other side there is that killer
saw. Two opposites that sound delicious together.”
Dada Life - Happy Violence (Uppermost Remix)
“One of the
newer releases in this chart, I just love the creative ‘SebastiAnish’ sound in
this track and the raw dancefloor destroying sound in the middle.”
Afrojack - Lionheart (Original Mix)
“If you
asked me two years ago about Afrojack, I would have laughed and would tell you
that it was crap. In 2011 he has actually surprised me with his new sound.
Dancefloor destroyer!”
"For all of us here at ENVE I wanna thank Beat The Bastardz for taking their time to put this little chart together for us"
"Levels" has been the anthem for 2011. So it seems only fitting that one of the biggest artists remixes one of the biggest songs. Skrillex's take on this superb jam is more then perfect, keeps that same Avicii style with that added delicious dirtiness we all love from Mr. Moore.
At the end of October SOFI released her Locked & Loaded EP. On the day of the release, I noticed that it was in two parts. Perhaps Noisia was slacking in the producing department. . .either way, the second part is finally here after a month of waiting. There are two songs included in "Part 2". The first song called "Bring Out The Devil" and it's heavier counter part "Again Sometime" are both packed with singing from SOFI. I'm not sure if I'm the biggest fan of SOFI and her vocals. . .I would rather here her do her "rap" like vocals featured on her huge Deadmau5 hits. Either way it's some dirty music, so see what you think.
Today we received a new mixtape featuring the very best of Circus Records, Winter 2011. Now if you are somehow unfamiliar with Circus... It has, without a doubt, the most stacked roster in the UK and is home to the likes of Doctor P, Flux Pavillion, Cookie Monsta, Funtcase, Roksonix, and Slum Dogz. This should satisfy your dubstep cravings for quite some time.
Circus Records Mixtape Dec '11 - Flux Pavillion & Doctor P
Flux Pavillion recently charted in the top 15 in BBC's Sound of 2012 Poll. His new single with Doctor P - "Superbad" will be released through Circus/Atlantic Records. Here is an exclusive video of Flux dropping the track at KOKO in London, England.
Knife Party. Where the fuck did they come from? After their huge show on BBC Radio 1, their track "Internet Friends" became a internet sensation. After the last few months touring around Europe and North America they have honed their idiosyncratic, chaotic and often comedic productions to perfection. Their debut EP "100% No Modern Talking" will be available for free download on Dec 12th.
"Such is the force with which Knife Party’s music has hit people’s
eardrums that
they have quickly established themselves as forerunners in a new generation of
electronic music without an original release to their name. Their UKF artist
mix
has received over 800,000 views to date. The work of Pendulum members Rob Swire
and Gareth McGrillen, this new production side project is an outlet for
experiments with everything from electro house to dubstep to moombahton, or
what
they simply file under the banner of ‘seizure music’. Remixes for Porter
Robinson and Nero, and a huge collaboration with Swedish House Mafia
‘Antidote’,
have gone some way to articulating their sonic vision, but they are set to make
their mark indelibly with the release of their first EP ‘100% No Modern
Talking’
on Monday 12thDecember. In keeping with their meteoric rise, they are eschewing
traditional outlets to give the four track EP away to fans for free."
Two huge hits we're released on Dim Mak today! First is a song I featured a few post ago called "Stars Come Out" by Zedd. You can check that song out HERE. The second is some new Zeds Dead! It's been about three months since the boys released "Coffee Break" and "Rumble In The Jungle" , so it's nice to finally here something new and original. The songs starts off with some progressing sounds that sound nothing like the boys past work. When the song drops it's INSANE, some subtle sounds from their old stuff but a totally new feel! Fucking love this shit!
"Given that they've both passed on now, it's been a
surprise to see both The King and his son-in-law (The King Of Pop) drop club
hits this month.Elvis turns up in a remixed version of “Suspicious Minds.”It's
the latest in a series of re-worked Elvis tracks that began appearing after
Junkie XL had a crossover hit with “A Little Less Conversation” fromOcean's
Eleven. And, Michael Jackson's “Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'” also gets the remix
treatment—though the changes are subtle—as part of the new MJ-themed Cirque du
Soleil production Immortal.
Other highlights from the top 10 include
Katy Perry's latest single, two tracks featuring Lil Jon, and a curious
collaboration between Will.I.Am,
J-Lo, and Mick Jagger."
