The SoniXx - Dance On Fire EP

The SoniXx is an Electro/Dubstep producer from Montreal, Canada who is just exploding onto the seen. His debut Dubstep EP "Dance On Fire" was released on Soundcloud a few days ago and it is some heavy stuff. The EP is packed with 5 original dubstep/electro bangers with some vocal help from DEE on a few of the tracks. The third track on the EP "What We Need" is definitely my favorite, heavy heavy base with some lyrical dubstep, a song for all you "Bassheads" out there. The whole EP is for download straight off of the soundcloud player. Enjoy.

"High" School

We here at ENVƎ know its absolutely necessary have the freshest and dopest tracks to party to, drive to, laze to, and most importantly, burn to. With summer officially in session as of June 21, its officially festival season and there is heaps of summer time music available to our ears. Just an F.Y.I. the next couple months on the blog are going to be HEAT.

Mixes seem to be the best way to listen to music these days. Don't you love not having to choose a new song on your iPod every time one is coming to an end. We couldn't agree more. This next mix by Team Bayside High is a hooter's delight. Packed with sick dutch house beats, epic stoner movie clips, and even some Moombahton around the 25 minute mark (108bpm ftw)! Look out for plenty more dank mixes on the way. You can download the mix here or else just press play.

BONUS

In the bonus today we have a couple bangerz for the ladies in the back seat. This is when you apologize for the songs being so loud but insist that the subs sound better at max volume. Hey at least it will give you a few minutes to think of your next one liner. Consider it a gift.

The first song is a sick remix of a DJ Khaled track by Karetus featuring weezy, drizzy, and officer ricky bobby. The second is Fucking Dada remix by an ENVƎ favorite Dirtyloud. And yes, its dirty. Enjoy.

Crazy Sunday Vol 4. (Gaining Spiritual Awakening)

I love to replace the Lazy Sunday with a Crazy posts! They always allow me to show you a diverse selection of music. The first track today is by KOAN Sound. Pronounced "Ko - Anne" and meaning a puzzling, often paradoxical statement or story. Most of KOAN's production is pretty soothing a soft, but this track takes some awesome guitar rifts and brings it a little harder, sounds kind of "KOAN" if you ask me.

This song was featured at Coachella during Duck Sauce's set and the hype and recognition since then has been huge. This track is nothing short of hilarious, but expected since their last track "Barbara Streisand" was pretty funny itself. This track is called "Big Bad Wolf" and has no official release. I thought you guys should check it out anyways. Here is a sound rip off of AnnieMac's show a couple weeks ago.

Next is a 10 minutes mix that the Toronto duo, Zeds Dead, have put together for BBC Radio 1 & Annie Mac. It's got some House, some Electro, and yes of course some Dubstep, this mix is packed with BASS! These guys' mixing skills just keep getting better and better. Trust me though, this mix is very "Zeds Dead" sounding, gotta love it.

BONUS

Lastly, we have a new music video for Skrillex's popular track "Rock n Roll". If you wanna know what travelling around the globe and partying for a lifestyle is like, this gives you a pretty good idea. Maybe one day. Enjoy.

Adventure Club in Nanaimo

This duo creates one of the most original sounds in Dubstep today. Formed in early 2011, Adventure Club has only been around for a short time but has already put their stamp on the music scene. With over a million plays on Soundcloud and toping the "Most Popular" chart on The Hype Machine  these guys are beginning to get some recognition. All of their releases have been on Soundcloud and have a *Free Download*. Yes, I said it, every song is FREE and every song is amazing.

Their latest remix of Flight Facilities "Crave You" has been huge in the blogging world. These guys really know how to get the most of the vocals and using songs to their potential, not leaving the original in the dust to be forgotten. Their wobble sound always seems to fit so nicely into the track and nothing sounds out of place. If you still haven't heard these guys yet, please do yourself a favor and check these guys out.

ENVE is bringing the duo to Nanaimo @ Spice Lounge on July 16th. So visit the Event Page for ticket info and don't forget to like the ENVE Facebook  group. Enjoy.

We have been waiting for an official release for some time now and what do you know, it's here!

Can I just say, Feed Me!

So the ENVE crew and I just got back Victoria, where we we're lucky enough to see the Mau5trap signed artist Feed Me. If your not familiar with Feed Me, then get out from under that rock and check out the tracks below. The show was put on by MSH at the wonderful 9one9 club. These guys put on a hell of a show! From the lights, to the crisp sound of their speakers or maybe the fact that everyone was just "having a good time", it was an awesome show. Opening up the night was D3cibl, Stefan & Squeezeboxx, who did an awesome job pumping the crowd up. Then out of no where some delicious "Mord Fustang" came on the speakers and the Feed Me show began. His set was packed with his Original tracks as well as some stuff I've never heard, but trust me I'll find out the tracks. Look out for a little video that will be posted on our Facebook page later today. Enjoy.

Shifty Monday / Bro.d

Hello my Envious Fans, today I have some treats for you. Does anyone remember "Unleash The F**cking Data"? Well if so, then you are going to love this remix by Disco Reason. With a heavy bassline, awesome filters and a sick house beat, this song will be at the top of your playlist. I hope.

Download on Soundcloud

This song is a few months old but it's a song I think you guys should all know.  A dirty electro song with catchy vocals just seems to always do it for me. If you have time check out BRUK's soundcloud page, it hasn't been updated lately but all the tracks are killer.

Alright last on the selection today I've got a Turkish Producer hailing from Istanbul. His latest upload to soundcloud was a sample kit, I thought is was a new track. Probably should have noticed the fact it said "Loopmasters". Thanks Seb.  I've included Utku S' last release "Dance Freak" as well. Enjoy.

BONUS

Alright, I'm very excited about today's BONUS. A good buddy of ours who was born in Parksville, has been killin the DJ scene out in Fernie. Bro.D started out his career as 1 half of "Party All the Time Machines", doing some shows at small bars and house parties all over Fernie. With some shows under their belt and some gained experience. They now had their head in the music scene and were able to do some bigger shows. After a while the 2 were living to far away to keep the party going, so Bro.D began his solo career. With a few original tracks on his soundcloud and a 30 minute mix, Bro.D is on his way.

Lazy Sunday Vol. 3

Alright, here is our 3rd instalment of "Lazy Sundays". This selection is filled with a few different genres and styles of music. I'm not sure if they're all chill. . . but it'll have to do. Our first track is not "chill" at all, just a banger'. He was half of "Prowley Burglars" but is now going by the solo alias of "The Eleven". His latest track "Pie" is now available to download, so check it out.

Alright, this song is slowing it down a bit. A.Skillz has done work with these "Marlena Shaw" vocals. Always keeping it super laidback with a summer feel, this is another smash hit. A.Skillz + SUMMER = GOOD

FLASHBACK TO 2010

This was definitely the song of my summer last year. Heard it earlier today, thought i'd remind ya'll. Enjoy.

BONUS

For the BONUS today I've included two new Skrillex tracks. The first is a remix of Snoop Dogg's smooth hip-hop hit "Sensual Seduction". 2 is an original track featuring Diplo. I haven't been able to find a download for this, but here is a soundcloud preview. Also there is some "Zedd" for you all to enjoy.

FCKN RIOTS

If you caught the Stanley Cup Finals on your TV last night, you are definitely feeling some disappointment today. If you caught the game in Downtown Vancouver, your probably feeling a little sore. So here is a few songs that will hopefully get you through the pain. The first track for you guys is going to be the latest release from the Bloody Beetroots. I remember when we were blessed with releases and remixes from the Beetroots almost bi-weekly. Now the wait almost makes the tracks better and the boys always make sure its worth the wait. This track is no exception. Heavy, heavy beat.

Another Deadmau5 remix and I have to say that this one is definitely making me move. An insane electro remix of "Move For Me" by  DJ MegaMan and Panic City. They are now going by the new alias "Blacklights". If you haven't heard any of there other remixes, check em' out here.

Last on the selection is two versions of Ralvero feat Whiskey Pete's new jam "Drunk Tonight". First is the original and then we have a remix by R3hab & Ferrucci Salvo. Let me know what one your diggin more.

BONUS

The official video for Bingo Players "Cry" is out. Pretty much what you would expect from a house music video. Babe dancing in the sun, who can complain?

Nero Vs BBC Philharmonic (DUBSTEP SYMPHONY)

A monday of moving but a new office for the ENVƎ team. We were a little busy with that but I promise today's post will make up for it. Earlier this month Nero paired up with the world famous "Philharmonic Orchestra" to create some amazing music. (If you haven't seen this video, I've included it below.) After the performance Nero took the audio from the performance, perfected, mastered and has released a version for the fans. Download here. Enjoy.

BONUS

Here is a track we were all diggin' in the office today, who doesn't like Dillon Francis though? Enjoy

Sunday, June 12

Crazy Sunday?

I'm not sure what's in the schedule for you Envious Folk today, but my day is nuts. So I've gone against my typical "Lazy Sunday" and gone with a "Crazy" one. Not crazy in the sense of "Heavy Music", just some different genres. So enjoy your coffee and cigarette (C2) and relax to some different beats. Alright, well the first song is probably one you have all heard but this time "Kids at the Bar" re-explore "Cry" by The Bingo Players. They fill the song with a stronger base and some siren synths, something nice.

Next is two Tech House tracks by Amsterdam's own Joris Voorn. If you don't listen to Tech that often this may be a little weird. Take a second though, keep your mind open.

Last up on the selection is "Doin' ya Thang" by Oliver $. Just a track I like and it may be leading the beatport house charts. . .

Timeline - SUBstances EP

Hip Hop and bass persuaded  producer TimeLine has just released his newest EP on beatport. It's titled "SUBstances" and it really gives a different spin on your typical Dubstep. The EP includes three tracks (1.Psycho Killer 2.Drugs 3.Dead To Me).  Down below is a little minimix of the three songs done by the man himself. Take the time to appreciate the soothing vocals and samples he uses in his production. Also check out his soundcloud for more of his stuff. Enjoy.

Dubstep for the Canucks, let's go boys!

Alright so since the Canucks have been playing so soft the last few games, I'm hoping this hard hitting post will give them a little motivation. Expect nothing but Dirty Dubstep today and maybe some new Mord?

So here is a song you have all been looking for, i'm sure of it. About 4 days ago Mord Fustang released a minute teaser for his new song "A New World". Don't worry though, I have the full version down below. Shhhh. This our first peak at Fustang's Dubstep abilities and he has passed the test in my books. The classic scaling melodic sound from his electro song is carried over beautifully into the slower genre.

Next up, is an artist we have featured before. SubVibe hailing from the U.K. is back with "Ominous". This song is nothing short of ear destroying music. "You must be terrified!"

Last but not least is an artist I've never heard before but the song was so good i wanted to share it with you Envious Folk. The song was produced by King Asthma and it's called "FALCON PUNCH" (for any of you Super Smash Bro Fans). So sit back and Enjoy.

Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (Kaskade Remix)

This is a huge release to say the least. This song has been featured at many festivals and concerts over the last 6 months but unfortunately hasn't been officially released, until now. This huge remix of "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" is for all you house lovers out there, who just want a little dirt. Kaskade has taken this song to the next level I think. Enjoy.

It's Tuesday My Dear

Ok, so today's Tuesday selection is going to be a little bit of everything. So I'll start it off with something a little chill.  A "Produce and Destroy" remix of Florence + the Machine's "Dog Days Are Over". If your a fan of the original, this is going to give you goosebumps, especially the drop at 2 mins.

So just about this time last year we were all enjoying Duck Sauce's bootleg of "Barbara Streisand", so wouldn't you all expect their to be another? Well you are in luck my friends, Duck Sauce will be releasing their new track called "Goodie Two Shoes" in a couple weeks. Shiny Disco Club's own Viceroy has just dopped an awesome edit of the upcoming summer jam to give you a little tasted of what to expect. I'm excited. . .

Don't think I forgot about all you Bass Heads out there. I found this remix of Freakhouze - Get Up, done by Calvertron. If you love the filthy jams then press download, and get this shit on your iPod. Enough said, Enjoy.
